3/23/2007 Easter Basket Ministry
Dear Walnut
Street “Easter Angels,”
Thank you to all you generous-hearted WOWS who have helped to
make Easter more joyous for some of our children, children at Baptist Homes
for Children, and our home-bound adults. Thank you to all who donated items
and baskets—we had plenty of goodies to share, including small toys, stuffed
animals, books, and of course chocolate! Thanks to the 41 workers who gave
time on Friday, March 23 and Saturday, March 24 to pack, wrap and label the
baskets. Thank you to the host of you who are delivering the baskets. Your
visits may mean even more than the lovely baskets!
This Easter Basket project was begun in 1999, when one of our
teens, Angela Hook, prepared and delivered 7 baskets. This year we made and
are delivering 158 baskets! To God alone be the glory!
